Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine in Victoria, BC
For those who are ready to trust their body's own intelligence again.
Come back to your body.
There's a saying in Chinese medicine that when the Shen, the spirit, is anchored in the body, the eyes will glisten.
I get to witness this the moment a treatment is complete. The spirit feeling safe in the body. No longer disassociating, but embodied. Yang anchored, in harmony with the body of Yin
● About Jenna Giardino
My own experience in the treatment room showed me what it feels like to be at home in my body. I wanted to give that to others.
My curiosity for, and awareness of Acupuncture and Chinese medicine began in my early 20’s when I was searching for my purpose after experiencing a trauma and loss in my life. Somewhere in my reach for more, I read that acupuncture is a conduit to remind the mind, body, and spirit of its ability to heal itself. This stuck with me, because that meant this modality empowered a natural intelligence that already exists in you. I received my first treatment not long after this and it was like coming home. I felt a familiar responsibility to show up and one day offer this medicine to others.
In sessions I show up with the capacity to listen. Patients have shared with me they feel they can open up and share raw emotions and experiences. I am compassionate, and offer safe confidentiality to vulnerable experiences shared in the treatment room.
Oftentimes, patients come back noticing obscure things they were once experiencing, are no longer happening.

● Services
Acupuncture
You can expect a detailed and intentional conversation about your health history, concerns, and goals for your first visit. In a follow-up visit we will build upon your initial visit. Acupuncture treatments include insertion of thin, single-use, sterile needles into specific points on the body, and depending on your diagnosis, your treatment may consist of moxibustion, cupping, tui na, or gua sha.
Pediatric Acupuncture
These treatments are for patients who are 16 or under.
The treatments may include acupuncture, acupressure, tui na, cupping, or gua sha. When using acupuncture techniques on infants, children, and teenagers, needles are retained for a shorter duration, and fewer, smaller needles are used.
● FAQs
Answers to some of the questions I get most often.
-
It all depends on your condition. Starting out with appointments closer together is ideal, or if you’re in an active flare-up. The goal is to eventually move into maintenance or as needed. Acupuncture and Chinese medicine is a preventative medicine, you can receive a treatment once a month for maintenance, or once a season to harmonize balance.
-
Sometimes results are immediate, however, I usually see patient results the following day to 3 days post-treatment.
-
Sometimes things can get worse before they get better. If I anticipate the treatment plan might cause this, I will communicate that to you, but sometimes it can happen unexpectedly. Acupuncture and other Chinese medicine tools help to detox the body, that being said you should feel better within a day or 2 post-treatment.
-
You are responsible for the full payment. However, I will send a treatment receipt and you can put the claim through your insurance provider on your end.
-
Yes! You can contact me through email and I am usually fast to answer, or feel free to call the clinics, Pearl Healthcare, or Opal Wellness.

Acupuncture is great for illness recovery, and is actually some of my favourite cases to work with. If you’re at the height of your sickness, please stay home and rest. If you’re passed the height and need some immune support, please come in with a mask, or I will provide one for you.
-
Wear loose comfortable clothing if you’d like to keep garments on, if you’re more comfortable without garments that is welcomed too. If I need access to specific points that require undressing, I will provide privacy and draping to keep you comfortable and protected.
-
We will start slowly and have continuous communication during treatment. If certain areas are off limits, communicate that to me, I am happy to meet you where you’re at. I will guide you throughout the treatment and continuously ask for your consent.
You can show up as you are.
That's all this asks of you.
